    Managing, Communicating and Facilitating Research in a Hypertext University

    In a University that operates as a hypertext organization, additional work is required and expected to communicate across organizational boundaries. In the area of research, we make this work harder for ourselves by fragmenting our research data across university communities. Creating an enterprise record of research activity, and coordinating our research processes around this record, is a serious response to the question of how we can help administrators and academics alike collaborate across complex research structures more effectively.

    The METTLE 2005 Forum and Showcase was held on November 10, 2005 hosted by the Information and Education Services program of the Information Division. Its aim was to support community networking and sharing of ideas between teachers, support staff and managers interested in the use of technology in teaching at the University of Melbourne. This document reports on outcomes and suggestions for future events and examines profiles and personal benefits reported by attendees.
