My composition 'Spindrift' for solo harp has been recorded by American harpist Elisabeth Remy Johnson on her new CD entitled ‘Quest’. This research project centres on the study and presentation (through recordings) of the work of female composers for harp dating from the nineteenth century to the present day. Johnson’s performance of 'Spindrift' represents a new interpretation of my composition in an entirely new context as part of a historical lineage of composers. The piece 'Spindrift' aims to explore new resonances on the harp and the original voice of the composition is highlighted by contrast with the particular selection of pieces on the CD.
