    LD Tools and Methods Summit Report

    This document provides an overview of the main points arising from discussion at the Language Documentation Tools and Methods Summit (http://bit.ly/LDsummit2016) held at the University of Melbourne on 1-3 June 2016 and convened by Nick Thieberger and Simon Musgrave for the Centre of Excellence for the Dynamics of Language, funded by the Australian Research Council. Invited participants were asked to consider key issues that were pre-circulated and then prepare discussion points for the meeting. Each theme leader took notes and they are summarised below, with links to the original notes also provided below. There is necessarily some overlap between the reports on group discussions.

    Within each report, each case study is a snapshot of an actual research project currently being conducted in the YRC. Our researchers are sharing their experiences and offering their advice for conducting social research in an increasingly complex and diverse societal environment. The practices presented in this series of research reports reflect the innovative and contemporary research methodologies and methods undertaken by YRC staff and students. Some of the methods illustrated here are traditional but employed in new ways; while other methodologies and methods depart from conventional research practices to cover more innovative practices to investigate and understand the multidimensional ways of being young in the twenty-first century.

    Evaluation of the Implementation of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers: Final Report

    This Report presents the overall findings obtained from the three-year evaluation conducted between 2013 and 2015. As the final report on the Evaluation, it builds progressively upon the findings of the interim reports, adding new analysis to generate deeper insights into the implementation of the Standards, and inform the development of recommendations. The report provides the overall findings on the implementation of the Standards among stakeholders within the education profession including, but not limited to, teachers, school leaders, pre-service teachers and teacher educators, as well as those working within regulatory authorities, sector education offices, and professional and principal association members.
