    Abstract
Albert Namatjira's beautiful paintings introduced the lounge rooms of Australian suburbia to the exquisite beauty of our central desert heartland. In 2010, Belvoir and Big hART transformed the rich watercolours of Namatjira's story into a joyous theatrical event bringing audiences to their feet night after night. It is our great pleasure to share this unique production with Melbourne in 2011. With the inimitable Trevor Jamieson as Albert Namatjira, this energetic celebration of a life fully lived features third-generation artists from Namatjira's Hermannsburg community creating expansive drawings across the Merlyn stage live before our eyes accompanied by an original score by Genevieve Lacey. First performance: Sept 2010. Sinced toured Australia
